Our Heritage

A Legacy Built on Quality

The Abbott name has been prominent in the hay trade for over 130 years. The company's head office was once in the City of London, when dairy cows were still kept in towns.

Later, Abbotts sent coal to Ireland and brought back hay for the pit ponies. The company was one of the founder members of the British Hay and Straw Merchants Association.

Today we continue that tradition, supplying premium forage and bedding to customers across the UK and beyond.
